Celine Lopez
Celine Lopez (she/her/ella) is a visionary advocate from Stockton, CA and a first-generation graduate from Stanford University. A “boomerang” who returned to her hometown, Celine is a champion for health equity, youth empowerment, and civic engagement. As the Health Equity Project Coordinator at the Reinvent South Stockton Coalition, she leads campaigns to address historic disinvestment and poor health outcomes in South Stockton through efforts to restore and reactivate city parks, increase outreach and education to seniors, and expand health services in underserved, low-income neighborhoods. Elevating strong community relationships, her advocacy during the pandemic has supported thousands in getting vaccinated against COVID-19. Beyond work, she connects with her heritage as a daughter of Mexican immigrants rooted in the Central Valley through gardening and scholarship on Stockton’s history. Celine’s vision is to expand equity and build just futures in communities like her own.
